My name is Leah Kazenmayer and I am a rising junior at The College Of New Jersey. I am majoring in computer science and minoring in mathematics. This summer, I am working with Gabriela Ford on a project led by Dr. Samiul Hasan and Dr. Damla Turgut. We are designing a prediction model by observing past vehicle data in Seminole County at intersections to determine future traffic. To accomplish this, we utilize Python, Google’s Colaboratory, Pandas, and NumPy to interpret and process the data. Over the course of the next several weeks, I will experience the life of a researcher; the REU will give me a better understanding of the atmosphere and routine of graduate school.
