I am Arati Banerjee, a junior from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. I am currently majoring in Computer Science with minors in Secure Computing and Networks and Intelligent Robotic Systems. This summer I am working on a project to produce “Fine-Grained Configurable OS Vulnerabilities on Various Virtual Machines”. The goal of the project is to create a tool that can set a Windows 7 virtual machine to various levels of security based on a timeline, to simulate exploiting vulnerabilities before they were patched, and updates were released. This will hopefully work as a valuable educational tool for cybersecurity students to practice penetration testing and understand different sets of operating system vulnerability.
